Grecian Foxglove

Digitalis lanata

A gorgeous garden plant that is medicinal in the right dosage and quite toxic otherwise. Flowers are creamy white with purple accents. Rare and very unusual!

Water: Appreciates consistent water, but can grow in dry or moist conditions

Hardiness: Frost Hardy

Habit: A biennial or short-lived perennial, in the first year it forms a basal rosette of leaves. During the second year and thereafter, it has an erect 2’ to 4’ flowering stalk.

Light: Full Sun to Partial Shade

Soil: Loamy soil

Origin: Southeastern Europe in the Balkans region
