Earthnut Pea
Lathyrus tuberosus
In addition to being a very cute plant with a tiny sweet pink pea flower, earth-nut pea also has an edible root which can be eaten cooked or raw. Tasting somewhat like a sweet potato, it is delicious when baked! In the 16th century flowers of the plant were also distilled to produce perfume. Grow earth-nut pea as a tasty treat, not as a staple crop.
