Oriental Alkanet
Alkanna orientalis
Used as a source of red dye. Soft citrus-scented leaves give rise to a dense mound studded with long-lasting, deeply golden yellow flowers. An exemplary herbal bedding plant in the borage family.

Soil: Can handle poor soil, but is equally happy with better soil as long as it has good drainage
