Red Spilanthes

These flowers sport a characteristic bright crimson “fisheye” at the apex. An ancient, distinctively beautiful, and highly entertaining plant, chewing the flowers will numb and make your mouth tingle! Traditionally used as stimulant, tonic, dentifrice, for earache and gum disease. Also called “toothache plant” or “electric/buzz buttons.”
