American Figwort
Scrophularia lanceolata
While not necessarily known for their beauty, figworts are incredibly nectar-rich plants. One of the best species we’ve found for attracting butterflies, bees, and other visiting insects and birds – especially the Ruby-throated Hummingbird! Its primary medicinal uses are for treating skin conditions connected with the lymphatic system and it is also a mild diuretic.
