This is a beautiful, strong plant in the Summer garden that can also be made into important respiratory herbal medicine. Because of its long history of use as relief from respiratory ailments and infections, elecampane is one of the popular herbs recommended by herbalists for respiratory support for MRSA and Covid. The root is used today in France and Switzerland as a flavouring for absinthe.
