Firecracker Loosestrife

Lysimachia ciliata

Recommended as a shady groundcover, firecracker loosestrife is tolerant of cold and seasonal flooding. The star-shaped yellow flowers that bloom in mid-Summer (contrasting beautifully against its reddish foliage) are an important food source for native bee populations.
