French Thyme
Thymus vulgaris
French thyme has linear gray-green leaves and thousands of tiny lilac blooms appering in mid-Summer that attract as many honeybees. This is the thyme often preferred by chefs because of its distinct potent spicy and sweet flavour with subtle hints of clove, making it one of the essential herbs in the classic French herb sachet, bouquet garni. Makes a great patio container plant!
