Gray Lavender Cotton

Santolina chamaecyparissus

One of the most drought tolerant, low maintenance plants we know. Highly fragrant foliage is offset by crowds of golden pincushion flowers. A great plant to brighten up any herb garden, or as a fragrant addition to fresh or dried flower arrangements, tussy mussies, or herbal wreathes. We have had the same individuals in our landscaping for 45 years, and as they have aged they’ve developed fantastically twisted and gnarly silver woody trucks, looking like ancient trees!
