Mastic Thyme
Thymus mastichina
This flat-growing thyme has camphor-fragrant dark green leaves, smothered by bright white flowers in early Summer. A strong grower, this thyme is ideal as a drought-tolerant lawn substitute or for planting between flagstones as it tolerates moderate traffic. Good nectar for bees and also deer resistant. Has a more pungent flavour than other thymes, which works well with hearty Mediterranean dishes.
