Pine Mountain Sage

Salvia semiatrata

Startlingly beautiful, this shimmering sage bears whorls of eye-catching, bi-colored blooms for most of the year. The flower is a royal dark violet, with a dusky lavender and bright magenta fuzzy calyx. Bees, butterflies, and hummers abound on its flowers, and no deer or gophers seem to be drawn to it. One of our many favorite sages. A must-have!
