Purple sage has the same aromatic and flavour properties of traditional sage but sports lovely lavender purple leaves that contrast beautifully with the leaves of other culinary sages. You can harvest leaves and flowers and use them the same way in the kitchen. You simply must have ALL the colorful varieties of culinary sage we offer, each being deer resistant, drought tolerant, and dearly loved by bees!

Water: Drought tolerant, unhappy when watered too much!

Habit: Perennial, evergreen subshrub, with woody stems, purplish-green-grey leaves, and blueish-purple flowers, to 2' tall
