South African Sage
Salvia dolomitica
Although drought tolerant, this sage flourishes with summer watering. Delicate pale lilac flowers contrast nicely with its silver-gray leaves. Makes a lovely container plant, groundcover, shrub border, or edging. Local honeybees like it, but deer will likely pass it by. Fun to pair with dune sage (Salvia africana-lutea), which is a similar South African native.
