Turkestan Oregano

Origanum vulgare ssp. gracile

This unique oregano stands out from others with its dark purple-green leaves and abundant deep pink-purple flowers. Compared to Greek or Italian oreganos, the flavour is more mild and not as spicy, but still offers a smooth pungency that works well paired with many savory dishes. Its aromatic oil is also a strong antimicrobial.
