White-Flowered Society Garlic

Tulbaghia violacea 'Alba'

Good border, container, and rock garden plant. Flowers and leaves are garlic-scented and can be used for seasoning either fresh or cooked. We like to use the leaf tips and flowers in our famous OAEC salad mix for a surprising kick, or the leaves chopped and tossed fresh in steaming pasta. A beautiful rare white-flowered form of society garlic that is deer, fire, and drought tolerant, and somewhat gopher resistant.
