Camphor-Scented Costmary
Tanacetum balsamita
This is a variety of costmary that has a decidedly camphor-like scent, rather than the more familiar spearmint-like scent associated with costmary. For a subtle, slightly spicy camphor flavour, add a few young finely chopped leaves to salads, vegetables, young potatoes, carrot and pumpkin soup, fruit cake, game, poultry, and cold meats. Also used as a bookmark to keep pages free from moths while suffusing them with a refreshing minty, camphor scent!
