Chinese Woad

Isatis indigotica is widely used in Chinese Traditional Medicine for clinical treatment of virus infections, tumors, and inflammation. It has attracted attention recently as a possible remedy for Covid–19. It has also been used historically as a source of blue dye and is the preferred woad to grow now rather than the European species which is considered a noxious weed in many Western states.
