Orange Oca

Oxalis tuberosa 'Sunset'

Sunset oca is a medium-sized cylindrical yellowish-orange to salmon tuber with red eyes. A vigorous grower with high yields, this variety can produce over two pounds per plant! When cooked its flavour resembles carrot – slightly sweet and a little tart.

Hardiness: Frost Tender

Habit: Sprawling perennial up to 3' tall, which tend to fall over. Produces underground tubers starting in September that can harvest after first frost through November.

Soil: Oca does best in good soil rich in organic matter
