Distantly related to the papaya, this subtropical fruit is well-suited to containers or greenhouse cultivation in Northern California. Bright taxicab yellow fruits are about 12″ long, with juicy, perfumey flesh, and overtones of strawberry, pineapple, and papaya! Incredible made into a jam with candied ginger.
